In Egypt, prison authorities sentenced Muhammad Adel, the killer of Egyptian student Naira Ashraf, to death outside the university's art gate after an appeal was rejected.
Neera Ashraf was killed by her classmate Muhammad Adil in front of the gate of the Faculty of Arts at Al Mansoora University in Al Dakhlia, Commissioner.
The court rejected Muhammad Adil's objections to the death penalty. Egyptian prosecutors took testimonies from 25 witnesses and submitted them to the court.
Apart from university students and security personnel, nearby traders also said they saw Muhammad Adil stabbed to death.
Neera Ashraf's family and friends said Mohammad Adil threatened to hurt her. He was angry that Neera Ashraf refused to marry.
It was proven before the criminal court that Mohamed Adel killed the student intentionally as part of a plan. It should be noted that no criminal case in the history of Egypt was decided so quickly.
Prosecutor Hamada Al-Sawi took the case of the murder of the Egyptian student to the Criminal Court 48 hours after the incident.
It is recalled that a student at Al Mansoura University stabbed his classmate because he refused a marriage proposal. The event took place in front of the Faculty of Philosophy of Al Mansoura University.
Eyewitnesses said the accused was a third-year art student. He attacked the student as she walked to the bus stop to go home.
