Hundreds of Indian students protest in the streets fearing deportation from Canada. According to NDTV, the students say Indian students who were admitted on the basis of forged documents were ordered by the Border Patrol Agency to leave the country.

Recently, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) sent letters to 700 Indian students asking them to leave the country. Most of these students belong to Indian Punjab.

According to the Border Protection Authority, false papers were given to incoming students.

According to him, the Canadian authorities said it would be unfair if the students did nothing wrong. The students asked the Indian government to take up the matter with the Canadian government as they were being cheated.

Many of the protesting students say they arrived in Canada in 2018, but the issue of forged documents recently came to light when they applied for Canadian permanent residency.

Student Chamandeep Singh says that when he arrived in Canada, the agent told him that the colleges from which the acceptance letters had been sent out had no more places. Admission to another university. Not wanting to waste the year, we agreed to his suggestion.

Chamandeep Singh added that we were admitted to another college and finished our studies, but after three or four years the CBSA informed us that the letter we were based on to get admission was fake.

Another student protester, Lopreet Singh, claimed the fear of being deported from Canada was affecting his mental health, with some even considering suicide.

Lopreet Singh said his parents spent all their life savings to enter Canada and now they have received the papers to leave the country.
