More than 2,200 buildings and 2,500 acres of land burned to ashes on Maui in a devastating wildfire.


The fire in Maui County in the US state of Hawaii has been described as the worst fire in the 100-year history of the United States. 

According to foreign media, the death toll from the worst fire in Hawaii has reached 93, while the search for bodies in the buildings destroyed by the forest fire continues, due to which the number of victims is expected to rise. 

According to the American media, 85 people have died in California forest fires in 2018.

According to media reports, the devastating fire burned more than 2,200 buildings and 2,500 acres of land on Maui and the damage is estimated at $5.5 billion. 

On the other hand, Jeff Bezos, the founder of the e-commerce company Amazon and one of the world's billionaires, and his fiancee Lauren Senches founded a fund called the Maui Fund, in which the two announced a donation of 100 million dollars.
