The Nothing Phone (2) will officially launch next month, but thanks to @OnLeaks and Smartprix you can already get a first look. The new design stands out like nothing with its transparent back and distinctive glyph light lines.
However, there are some important changes. The company has confirmed that its second smartphone will have a larger 6.7-inch screen (up from 6.55 inches), and it seems to feel the need to change the ergonomics.
The new design has rounded aluminum edges, and even the front and rear glass panels have a slight curve. This is in contrast to the telephone (1), which had a flat front and back and square sides.
The light bars for the glyph interface are now separated. It gives users more granular control over the system, adding a status indicator, a notification light and a certain coolness factor. @OnLeaks points out that the renders are based on a test-phase unit, so the final design may have some minor changes.
The phone (2) will work with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in the high-end market but stay in the mid-range instead of competing against the flagships. The original was launched at a base price of €470 / £400 / ₹33,000. We'll see if the new model maintains that price or starts higher. Oh, and it's coming to America too.
