Deliberately endangering the sanctity of others should not be called freedom of expression

In the session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, Muslim leaders condemned the incidents of desecration of the Koran and holy books.

At the same time, Western countries were sharply criticized by Muslim leaders.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Western countries were suffering from racism, including Islamophobia, and incidents of desecration had reached an intolerable level.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said the West wants to divert attention from freedom of expression, from the desecration of the Holy Quran to banning the hijab in schools in Western countries.

Moreover, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar, said that deliberately compromising the sanctity of others should not be called freedom of expression.
