A spokesperson for Australia's foreign office says Australia is deeply concerned about the allegations and is monitoring the investigation.
According to the spokesperson, Australia believes that all countries must respect the sovereignty and rule of law of others.
He said Australia is in touch with partners in this regard and India has been informed at the highest level of its concerns.
According to US media, the five countries raised this issue ahead of the G20 meeting with India.
Meanwhile, Canada has deported Pawan Kumar Rai, the head of India's intelligence agency, to Canada on suspicion of his involvement in the killing of Hardeep Singh Nagar.
